At the early age of five, Juliann quickly caught the thrill of riding. She bought her first pony at age nine, participated in 4H and progressed to a high rating in Pony Club. In 1992 Juliann placed in the top 10 at the Washington International Horse Show as an amateur rider. Through the years she has trained with many Olympians and top Equestrians such as Karen Stives (3-Day Eventing), Lendon Gray (Dressage), Margie Goldstein-Engle (Jumpers), and Scott Hofstetter (Hunters) and has competed at upper levels in these disciplines.
